*** 2024 SEASON NOTES ***

Consider booking a tour of one of Chicago’s neighborhoods or surrounding downtown areas during these major city events:

August 19-22, 2024 – Democratic National Convention — This is being held on the Near West Side and not expected to affect traversing the core downtown but may affect some transportation availability. Anticipate protests at various government locations

TIP #1: This is a walking photography tour, not a technical workshop. To benefit you the most it is advised you understand the basics of photography such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed and other settings on your camera prior to your tour. This is a perfect opportunity to put those lessons to practice in an urban setting.

TIP #2: If you’re a light chaser, check HERE for sunrise, sunset and Blue Hour times before deciding your start time. Select your travel month. The dates are along the left side of the chart. On this site, Blue Hour would be considered the “Civil Twilight” Start or End.
